De Tjolomadoe

Case Study

Formerly a sugar factory in Karanganyar, Solo, Colomadu is now developed by PT Sinergi Colomadu into Educational Heritage and Tourism Center with international standard, consisting of Convention Hall, Multi-purpose Hall, Shopping Arcade, and Heritage Museum. It is intended to be the first multifunction recreation center in Solo with a variety of culinary and heritage-preserving facilities.

Milestone crafted an all-encompassing brand identity to accentuate the cultural and historical significances of the building while appealing to a wider, modern audience.  The ex biggest sugar factory is now reborn as De Tjolomadoe, inspired by its original name Tjolomadoe Suikerfabriek when it was first established in 1861. Combined with the logo, the new identity portrays refined elegance and timeless modernity.

The official launch took place on 24th of March 2019. Titled Hitman: David Foster and Friends, it was a highly anticipated concert filled with star-studded lineup and attended by more than 3.000 enthusiastic people as well as Indonesian prominent figures.
